Frequently asked questions
Answers on the GetRestaurantSite offer: what is included, revisions, articles, the AI Engine, speed, search visibility, policy pages, hosting and billing.

The offer
What do I actually get for the monthly fee?
A full website built for a takeaway, delivery or fast casual kitchen: a menu that reads clearly, ordering that stays on your own site, delivery zone and pickup time pages, managed hosting, and weekly researched articles. Plans start at $117 a month, with a $647 one-time build fee invoiced only after your site is live and you have approved it.
How long until my site is live?
7 days on Order Starter, 10 on Order Engine while the AI Engine is trained on your menu and policies, and 15 on Full Kitchen with the Content Engine running. The clock starts at the onboarding call, not at purchase, so the sooner the form is in, the sooner you are live.
Can the site handle both delivery and pickup, or just one?
Both. The ordering flow asks the customer to choose delivery or pickup upfront and shows the correct time estimate, minimum order and any delivery zone restriction for whichever they pick, rather than treating every order the same way.
Getting started
What happens straight after I buy?
You fill in the onboarding form and submit it. It asks for your menu, delivery zones or coverage area, brand, domain and where orders should land, and it takes about 15 minutes. If something is missing, submit anyway: you can send the rest by email or raise it as a ticket in your client portal, and it will not hold up the build. We then run one onboarding call to fill any gaps and agree the launch date.
What is the client portal?
It is your account with us, and you get it the day your site goes live. From the portal you request revisions, raise a support ticket for anything that needs attention, send us files you still owe us, and message our team directly. Everything to do with your site runs through it, so nothing gets lost in an inbox. You never log in to the website itself; we handle that side.
Revisions and the client portal
What counts as a revision, and what happens after five?
A revision is any change request you send, and there is no limit on how much goes into one. A new menu item, an updated combo price, a different photo, a new delivery zone: each is one revision. So is something much larger. "Rebuild our whole menu page and add three new combos" is one revision, not four. 5 are included every month. After the fifth, each additional revision is a flat $20, with no cap on how many you can buy and no hourly billing anywhere. Every revision is completed within 2 to 5 working days, whatever the size.
How do I actually request a change?
Raise it in your client portal. You describe the change, attach anything we need, and it lands with the team as a tracked request so you can see where it is. You can also email us or reply to any thread with our team, and we log it for you. Unused revisions do not roll over to the next month.
Can you update the menu the same day prices change at the counter?
A menu update is a normal revision and is completed within 2 to 5 working days, not weeks. If you need same-day handling for something time-sensitive, such as an item selling out, mention that in the request and we prioritize accordingly.
Articles
What are the researched articles actually about?
Topics people search before choosing where to order from: what makes a delivery order arrive hot, how a fast casual counter handles a lunch rush, or what a catering order from a small kitchen looks like. 2 articles a week publish on Order Starter and Order Engine, and 3 a week on Full Kitchen, each 2,500 to 3,200 words.
Can we suggest article topics ourselves?
Yes. Send topic ideas, seasonal specials or a new menu direction you want covered, and we work them into the schedule. If you do not suggest anything, we choose topics based on what people actually search for in your niche.
The AI Engine
What does the AI Engine actually do for a restaurant?
On Order Engine and Full Kitchen, the AI Engine answers the questions your site gets asked most, such as delivery hours, catering lead time or whether an item is available today, using the facts you give us about your kitchen. It also drafts review replies for your approval, so a busy shift never means a review sits unanswered for a week.
Does the AI Engine give food safety or allergen advice?
No. We are a website design and management company, not a food safety authority, and the AI Engine never gives food safety, allergen or nutrition advice on your behalf. Any question that touches those topics is routed to a human answer you control.
Speed and advertising
How fast will my menu page actually be?
Every page is built to a 90+ Google PageSpeed score on mobile and desktop, and that target is in the terms rather than in a sales line. Pages are custom coded, ship almost no JavaScript and are served from a global edge network. If a page ever falls below the target because of our work, fixing it is on us.
Does a faster site make my ads cheaper?
It can help, and we will not promise a number. Two things are true. You pay for a click before anyone sees the page, so every visitor who gives up during a slow load is money already spent. And the landing page is part of how an ad platform rates your ad: Google Ads Help describes ad quality as an estimate of the experience people have when they see your ad and once they reach your landing page, and says higher ad quality generally leads to better performance, including better ad positions and lower cost. Anyone quoting you a specific cost-per-click drop is guessing.
Who checks the speed after launch?
We do, every week, as part of the plan. A new photograph, a new page or an added embed can all drag a score down, which is why the check is scheduled rather than left until someone complains.
Search, AI answers and schema
What do you actually do for SEO?
The technical work and the pages that carry it: titles, descriptions, headings, canonical addresses, sitemaps, internal links and image alt text, on a fast site, plus a page for each location and each delivery area you really serve. We do not build empty pages for towns you do not deliver to, because search engines filter that and it drags down the honest pages.
What is AEO, and why does it matter for a takeaway?
Answer engine optimization is writing so the answer can be lifted out: the first sentence under a heading answers the heading, and facts like delivery radius, pickup window and catering lead time are stated plainly. That is the structure that gets pulled into a featured snippet or a voice answer, which for a hungry customer is often the only result they see.
Can you get my restaurant mentioned by ChatGPT or Google AI Overviews?
We can make it much more likely and nobody can guarantee it. What we control is whether an assistant can parse and trust your site: a plain-text llms.txt describing the kitchen and its key pages, business name, address, hours and service area identical everywhere, facts stated in a quotable form, and clean structured data. Any supplier promising a guaranteed AI mention is selling something they do not control.
What structured data do you add?
JSON-LD for the business itself with hours, address and service area, for each service or menu page, for your FAQ blocks and for breadcrumbs, generated from the same content a visitor reads so the two never drift apart. Review markup is added only where you have genuine reviews. We never generate a rating that does not exist.
Do you guarantee rankings?
We guarantee work, not positions. The terms commit to your site starting to rank for local searches in your area within 3 to 5 months of launch, and to continuing the search work at no additional charge if it has not. That does not cover terms outside your area or services, and it is not a refund.
Policy pages and accessibility
Which policy pages come with my website?
A privacy policy, terms for online orders, a cookie policy with consent that really holds non-essential scripts until someone agrees, an accessibility statement, an allergen and nutrition disclaimer in your own words, consent wording on any form that takes a mobile number, and a copyright and takedown route. They are written around what a restaurant site actually does.
Does that make my business compliant?
It helps you meet the expectations that apply to a restaurant website. It is not legal advice, it is not a guarantee of compliance, and we are not your lawyer. If your state, county or franchisor adds a requirement, send it to us and we build the page around it as a normal revision.
Is the site accessible?
It is built with accessibility in mind from the start: keyboard operable, real color contrast, labelled form fields and alt text on menu photography, aimed at WCAG 2.2 AA. We do not use an accessibility overlay widget, because overlays often make things worse for the people they claim to help.
Do you write reviews for us?
Never. Your site displays only genuine reviews you have actually received, with no invented ratings or counts, which is what the Federal Trade Commission rule on consumer reviews requires. The reviews on this marketing site follow the same rule: real clients, their own words, no invented ratings.
Choosing between the options
How is this different from a website builder?
A builder sells you a tool and the work stays yours: the menu updates, the photographs, the speed, the publishing, the new location page. This is a service, so that work is ours for one monthly fee. Both approaches produce a website; only one of them comes with somebody accountable for it in month six.
Should we just hire a freelancer instead?
Sometimes, and we say so on the comparison page. A good freelancer builds a better site than a template and can do bespoke work we do not offer. The risks are availability, continuity and hourly billing that makes you hesitate before fixing a wrong price.
We already pay for GoHighLevel. Do we need this too?
Only if the website is the weak part. Keep the CRM, the pipelines and the automations; we build and manage the site they point at, and route order and enquiry details into your CRM so the follow-up keeps firing. The comparison pages cover funnels, the website builder and the AI tools separately.
Can we run our marketing agency and your plan together?
Yes, and that is the normal arrangement for kitchens doing volume. The agency creates demand, we keep the destination fast, current and able to take the order. We do not buy ads or manage ad accounts.
Hosting and management
Is hosting an extra cost?
No. Hosting is included in the monthly fee and never billed separately. Your site runs on Cloudflare's global network with SSL, CDN, DDoS protection and unmetered bandwidth included. There is no hosting invoice, no SSL renewal, no bandwidth overage and no surprise line item in month four.
What happens if the site goes down during a dinner rush?
Uptime, platform updates and security patches are handled on our side as part of the plan. If something needs urgent attention, raise it in your client portal and it is treated as a priority ticket rather than queued behind routine revisions.
Domains
Do I have to pay for a domain?
No. One domain is included free for as long as your plan is active, registered in your name through Cloudflare Registrar or Spaceship, so you own it outright. If you already have a domain we point it at the new site instead and nothing changes for people who know your current address. If you ever leave, tell us where to send the domain and we transfer it at no charge.
Can you point an existing domain instead of giving us a new one?
Yes. If you already have a domain, we point it at your new site during launch and your current address keeps working for anyone who has bookmarked it, printed it on packaging or shared it on social media.
Moving from your current site
Can you move us off a delivery app's built-in website builder?
Yes. We review what exists on your current platform during onboarding, from a delivery app's free site builder to an old page-builder website, and rebuild the parts worth keeping, menu, photos, copy, into the new site's structure.
Will our search rankings survive a move from our old site?
If your current site ranks for anything, we set up redirects from old page addresses to their new equivalents so that visibility is not lost in the switch. The new site also goes live and is reviewed before your domain is ever pointed at it, so there is no downtime during the move.
Billing and cancellation
What do I actually pay, and when?
You pay the monthly fee for the tier you choose up front: $117, $247 plus AI usage, or $597 a month. The $647 one-time build fee is invoiced only after your site is live and you are satisfied with it. Domain and hosting are inside the monthly figure.
How do I cancel, and how much notice do you need?
Email us and say you want to cancel. Your message must reach us at least 2 business days before your next invoice date, during business hours, which are 9:00 to 17:00 Central Time, Monday to Friday. A message sent outside those hours counts from the start of the next business day, so a weekend email does not give 2 business days of notice for an invoice due Monday or Tuesday. With valid notice, no further invoice is raised and your site runs to the end of the month you have paid for. With late notice, the next invoice is charged as normal and the cancellation takes effect at the end of that month.
Do you offer refunds?
No. All sales are final, and that includes monthly fees, the build fee, extra revisions and any cost we pass through at what our providers charge us. We do not refund for a change of mind or for a month you did not use. The one exception is a duplicate or incorrect charge made by our billing: tell us within 30 days and we correct it within 10 working days. The build fee is charged only after you have approved your site, which is exactly why it is not refundable afterwards.
Do prices change if we add a second location?
The monthly fee covers the plan you are on, and a second location page is scoped and added as a revision within your existing allowance rather than a new subscription, unless the scope is large enough that we discuss it with you first.
Still have a question?
Email and a person replies within one working day.
